that much torque in a FWD car is exactly my point, always gunna be a handful, once powers down should be ok but low gear power on turning out of bends will be interesting Twisted Evil

not saying i can't do it, anything possible. but never tried and wouldn't know where too.

i can have a word with a coded welder up to nuclear submarine grade though! think he can weld just about anything.

not spoke in a while so need a little time. keep you posted.

if you can do it without and inhert gas welder i have a stick welder at work, depends on rods you need and material prep.

read into it. could be interesting.

got mine to do soon, found a guy who's selling e46 328i 300mm disc front set up with ebc yellow stuff pads,

then plan to get entire m3 evo rear subframe, sand blast it all, new powerflex bush's all all over, powder coat black, new rear brake lines and then of course i get the rear m3 evo brake set up included which again has bigger discs and better calipers.

already bought a custom remapped ecu this month and finally got dibs on an m3 l.s.d which is A) better for cornering and B)his a shorter ratio than my current diff so quicker acceleration, its a win win. haha.

i of course will rebuild it myself with new clutch plates, bearings, seals and oil then blast and paint............gunna be skint and busy again affraid

will try to find out about the alloy welding of that lad i know, if not i will ask about in the trade. what are you welding to what?

p.s BRAKES ARE IMPORTANT! GOOD LUCK

Today is a bad day for me and the nova I have pulled back lots of seem sealer under the bonnet to reveal nothin but rust all over the chassis legs and gettin worryingly close to the main engine mount, So what to do.... either call it a day and break it up for parts (dont really want to) or take the wings off bumper off engine out and start grinding back and weld in new parts to make it stronger and better than before (huge job)............anyone fancy helpin wip a v6 out of a nova????

bad news mate, only thing with old vauxhalls now, what about re-shelling it? surely most of stuff is re-useable? strip the donor too bare metal, cut out any shit, touch up, re-seal, paint, wax oil. depends how far you want to take

or pretend you didnt see the rot and rag it till it rips it out>??

am busy with the soon to be born baby or i would help you any other time.

good luck

Id get the welder out and have a play, but, here's a stupid idea, ever herd of the dawoo nexia (think thats spelt right) all gm engines fit, and its a health alternative to a rusty nova, anythings possible, like I.say, I personally would take the lump out and get the welder in alien

Plus, what about space framing it whilst you've got the room, that will help handeling ready for the German ring rd cheers

Just been up to it again and continued to pull off all of the putty stuff and its bad real bad, all the seems are gone all round the struts are gone its a total nightmare, so all the strength in the front end has gone and it does not look like there is any good steel under there to cut back to.....im totally gutted I dont think all the strength needed could ever be put back in plus I would never trust it.

Personally I belive anything can be repaired, if you realy want to mate, I can help you rebuild it, same way you would a kit car, totally up to you but if I can make a crappy astra into a hybrid turbo on a shoe string budget then there's no reason you can't get this to a top speck race vehicle, think of it as a blank canvas, look at other nova race cars and get some insparation, but don't give up
Adapt and over come, there is no other way

I really appreciate the offer matey but I have totally lost all faith in her and I am really strugglin with premises I have been doin all the work at the parents house and when I mentioned a front end rebuild they went nuts Evil or Very Mad , I think I will get someone to come and have a look at it and if they properly do it and it aint to expensive I may consider gettin it done..............still need to take the engine out if ya fancy helpin with that?

That's not a problem, I'm sure a few of the boys will come up and get there hands dirty, we've got accses to sevral engine cranes etc, Very Happy where there's a will theres a way, not sure we can do ought before pod but we can make a plan for it over the weekend alien
