PostSubject: the astra demon   the astra demon EmptyWed Oct 03, 2012 5:07 am

well this was kind of enevitable,
i supose that everything is forsale at the right price,
for those of you that don't know that aformentioned astra has a lot of build spec listed in the build sectiopn,
what is it?
astra mk3 5door
1.6 (on log book) (central locking, lecky windows etc)
with tax and test (will confirm the dates)

the spec (as best i can remember) is as follows

shell
fully stripped with only the dash left,
corbeu bucket seats
drivers sparco harness
oil pressure gauge,
oil temp gauge
volt gauge
boost gauge
air/ fuel ratio gauge
isolation swith (battery)
battery re located to the boot
front and rear omp strutbraces
tinted rear windows (crap on purpose)
racing styeering wheel
usual race pedals and fire extinguisher etc
bonnet pins
bonnet lift

schassi
(power steering imobalised)
koni front shocks
eibach springs (60mm drop all round)
big brake kit, red dot discs, ceramic pads
new brake lines
v6 drive shafts
cavalier legs
calibra hubs

engine (c20 seh, converted to turbo)
ecu chipped for over fueling when on boost
v6 fuel pump
fse rising rate fuel pressure regulator
ecotec red 550cc injectors
kent kams (high lift road can)
high torque head bolts
high strength head gasket
maule forged race pistons
knife edged conrods (all pressure tested last week before i re-built the engine)
new stem and crank seals
new water pump
new timming belt
iridium plugs
maganacor leads
massive 8 core oil cooler with thermostatic sandwhich plate
all boost pipe is solid alloy with silicone joints
massive front mount intercooler
v6 radiator
2x slimline race fans (with manual overide)
manual boost controller (located inside the car)
t3/4 hybrid turbo (brand new less than 4 months ago- around 400 miles use)
twin piston dump valve
oil catch can
a hell of a lot of silicone hosing
f18 d gear box (close ratio 1-4 and a massive fith gear- will do over 140mph)
black diamond ceramic racing clutch
balanced fly wheel
remus race exhaust system with stainless back box

i'm sure theres more that ive forgoton,
this is not a toy,
the power output atm is around 230bhp, but this setup is good for 300bhp,
previous to the latest engine re-build it managed a 14.4 quater mile at santa pod
so with a bit of time setting up and bedding in this is the ultimate sleeper

am asking for around £1200
but im open to swaps and p/x

the reason im selling is the dog cant realy get on with this or my mg, that and it won't be to good for getting to work during the winter (5am start with what is bassically a race car would realy make the neighbours happy lol)

pm me on here or if you've got my n.o. just buzz me,
i'm not open to tyre kikers etc, but if you do want a test RIDE then i'm more than happy but if your going from a 1 ltr corsa to this you will not be able to drive it (sory but the torque steer produced from this will make you crash)
chers guys and galls
shrek alien

(ps if it doesnt sell then i might take it to the next level though the winter- poly carb windows, caged up etc etc) Wink

just for the record, that was the passat thread

Here is my wagon for sale due to work i need to sell, 1998 1.9tdi afn (Fjord Blue Metallic) it has 169,090 on the clock and will go up as its my daily at the moment. Ive only owned this since the begin of Febuary, since owning it ive replaced temp sender, air sensor changed to pierburg MAF, amber front / side lights and de baged grill and serviced. It comes with 6 months MOT and Tax till 30/09/12, last MOT the front to rear brake lines and cv joints where replaced.

Now for a car that is 14 years it does have a few problems and rust spots but nothing to bad, there is a small stone chip on bonnet that has rusted, above windscreen on the edge of the roof, both front arches, slight scratch marks along driver door, driver side roof bar is missing cap at front, remote locking does not work from either key but works fine with key in door

The boot lid is the biggest problem it slowly is leaking along the bottom edge of rear windscreen into inside of boot lid the water does not go any where but collects in the lid which when open it runs out does not effect the rest of car

Ill try and get some pic up of rust spots once it stops raining
Car is located in Blyth just north of Newcastle

Price is £750 ono
