| So mine's pretty much fucked. And because the backbox is gay and I want to change it all.. would a mk3 gti exhaust fit and give a tiny better performance? I don't want to spend a heap of cash because I don't have any. It going to be decat anyway and I'm wanting a single tail pipe instead on the twin. Cheers all! | |

| There won't be a massive improvment goin for a Fri system over a stock 1.6 system, espescially if your wanting to use a stock back box, but a decat is a good eay to gain power, little sceptical come mot time but nothing that can't be sorted, price wise, if your strugeling is look a lot on ebay, any mk3 system will fit ( using a welder to perswaid it ) so just get a stainless jobie of a gti | |

| that should be possible, my method of ripping the boxs out and making it streight through is fine but usually makes it raspey as foook, fine if you want a race car but to get a low down tone you need a resonator in the system and ideally made from stainles so its slightly thinker and ends up with a slightly better tone, | |

| I've been looking at 2 inch bore pipes and then slotting a universal backbox so I can hide it from view. 3 meters of this piping will be 54 quid roughly, and I may put one middle box in or something. | |
