Advice please?

new battery
clean the plugs up a bit
ensure nothing living in the induction system then see if she goes?

its got oil in it
and old fuel

worth sticking a RedEX or similar down its neck to give the fuel its zing back?

Yep youve got most of it me personally, i drop bout a tablespoon of fresh oil down the bores and let it sit for a day or two, then ya know the rings and bores have got the best protection from damage. Sorry replys like a month late

yeah, my bad, u no me busy as foook latley, and yeah, just as tank said, little drop of oil in each cylinder and in the rocker cover the get things lubed up prior to tuning over

I'd do all that but put new fuel n oil filter on, New fuel in n manually turn cranked after you've lubed it a few turns, 90 per cent of engine wear is when ur engine is cold n been stood, 10 years! That fuel could damage injectors or carb n clog up the jets

true, true, depends how keen you are i mean it wouldnt hurt to do a full service, belts, fuel filter, etc etc, but you could go to all that effort on anengine thats thrown a ring (or simular) No

eithter way its lucky dip on an engine that aint been ran for that long Suspect
