rover 25 cheep Empty
PostSubject: rover 25 cheep   rover 25 cheep EmptyMon Jun 17, 2013 1:00 am

For sale, rover 25 expresion,

52 reg, milage 80727

Mot may 11th 2014

Tax 31 october 2013

As it’s the expression model it has full central locking, electric windows, and air con (which still works)

Bought this from one of the wife’s friends as I did the head gasket on it 3 yrs ago and she wanted rid due to the work needed for the mot, so I completed the work and put it through an mot with the intention of using it to get to and from work, this was 4 months ago, and the rover has been very reliable, but the wife has up graded to a newer car and I have been given her old one so the rover has to go, more to get it out the way than the need for cash.

The work I completed for the mot,

Both outer cv joints,

One track rod end and 2 ball joints, full service, and two front tyres.

There is a small amount of rust on both front wings (see photos) and tiny bits of surface rust on the inside of the rear arches, but the engine bay and underside are like new (apparently common on 25’s)

One of my friends was breaking an mg zr 160 and I thought it would be rude not to pass up the idea of a few upgrades, so the 25 is fitted with a full leather interior (sport red and black, see photos) mg 160 suspension and (huge) brakes, also fitted with the 52mm (not exactly sure but it was much bigger than the original ) throttle body, see photos.

Plus there is the little addition of a scorpion exhaust (nice and quite, little burbele in the back ground, sounds really nice) and a replacement k and n flat panel filter, there is also a pioneer stereo CD player.

There are two faults with the car which I had yet to sort out, the clutch release bearing is noisy, I have purchased a new one which will go with the car, and the starter motor has twice not started the car, now if I tap the top of the starter solenoid it started straight away, and this only happened after two long runs on the motorway so I would assume that it’s the starter solenoid sticking, so I guess it could do with a starter at some point (about £10 from your local breakers)

Any way, I’m located in Sheffield and all viewings etc welcome, looking for £400 ono, always open to offers, at the end of the day it’s a rover J

The car drives really nice, no other problems, good little car really, but need the space so the wife doesn’t kill me, thanks
