corsa 2.0 8v turbo

hey thought i would post up some info on my corsa project i am currently busy with. it is a 2000 model corsa b and i am using a c20ne engine from a mk2 astra gte. spec is below along with link to my photobucket album.

Engine spec:

C20 ne block and head
C20LET pistons and rods
New bearings (mains and big ends)
New piston rings
genuine GM headgasket
all new rebuild parts
new sump
toyosports manifold
t25 turbo off a saab 9000
custom 2.5" stainless downpipe and exhaust system
ebay intercooler kit
innovate lc-1 wideband lambda kit
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
tx autosport aluminium radiator
jjc 19 row oil cooler
2.0 ecotec red injectors
omp 4 plate paddle clutch
z20let oil pump and modified pick up pipe

That is all i can think of off the top of my head and as for management i am using standard management and adjustin the ignition advance by using a 91 RON octane plug but using 98 RON V power. this is only until i can save up enough and buy megasquirt which will hopefully be a couple of months. few lads on the net hav dobne this the same way and seen over 200bhp on standard compression ratio of 9.5:1 whereas using c20let pistons should lower this to around 8.5:1 allowing me to run slightly more boost. i am going to run this at around 7-10psi depending on fuelling hence the wideband lambda to keep an eye on things.

this is the link to my photobucket album with all the photos i have atm and hopefully i will be adding more as i go on. the album is full of my pics from start to finish. it is currently awaiting repair but i am trying to source a headgasket that will take more boost i have had it on the road for a while and all was going well until i got bored and started upping the boost and it didnt last long although i have managed the best of a 14.3 1/4 mile at santa pod but this was when i was running around 8 psi of boost and i was hoping to get a few runs with the car boosting at around 15psi but as i say it only lasted a little while at this pressure feel free to leave any comments or opinions u have. cheers callum

Nice one mate, another 8v turbo, hope u enjoy the forum matey, were nothing majour just a group of lads an lasses enjoying our motors, I think I spoke to u at pod, don't know if you saw but I've fried an injector and split my rad but I managed a 14.4 before she got poorly lol, any ways I promise to do am update on the build thread for dirty dorris ASAP

Yeah I was the one asking all the questions lol. Try and find a part number or a source where u got your head gasket from if u can cos that will be a big help to me getting mine sorted

I'll see what I can do, I think I got it from yorkshire auto parts I'll see what I can find

No bother cheers. I can't find anything like what u described apart from a gasket from the Pontiac version of this engine but not sure whether it will work. Let me know if not al have to buy one of these and see what it's like when it arrives.
