PostSubject: shreks new daily   shreks new daily EmptyWed Sep 05, 2012 10:29 am

Well I always nag ppl to do build threads so I thought is better do one for the new daily because the boras gone so here is my erm 44th car ( I think)
It's a 1.8 16v k series mgf
It's an aneversary edition, which means its got 16inch hairpin alloys, metalic British racing blue colour and full leather interior, nice motor, only 74k on the clock,

Why did I get it? Why not? It's got 136bhp from the factory, mid engine rear wheel drive full independent suspension and a soft top, what's not to like? Add that to 40mpg, and cheap insurance, win win any ways

The mods so far are -
Induction kit, with alloy pipe work,
Sterio 6disc changer with Kenwood speekers and tweeters
Deep dish drift steering wheel with horn mod, (air bag removed)
Vacum gauge with polar mount
And just before I came to work me and tank fitted a stand alone pioneer sub unit
alien
Hope to get some photos up ASAP but I cant do it from my phone Mad
Coments welcome lol

MG are great cars for people with mechanical minds cos they do need abit of effort to keep em sweet BUT you usually get good handling, power, spec and style dirt cheap. a very different choice for you berry but i quite like the idea of 140bhp in a tiny RWD beasty

I agree totaly boona, but I was thinking more 250bhp, its the same engine used on the elise, and there was a supercharger conversion avalible, its also the same block as a t series rover turbo so I know I could convert to turbo, and if I wanted to get realy stupid, it runs a pg1 gearbox, .......... That's a Honda box which means I could (in therie) fit a type r Honda lump, and I now the the guy who pea rotorex supercharges, they specialise in super charging Honda engines, roughly 350bhp on standard internals !!! Mmmmmm this could be a rather stupid little mg alien
