| The vts started off like this (my old Nova SR in the background): Then like this: It changed a fair bit after this as well (bodywork-wise). Then I bought a superchanged engine for it, although this turned out to be a bit buggered, so it got stripped and rebuilt. This is the engine as it stands now, practically ready to refit into the car: Its got a polished and ported C2 vts head, forged pistons and rods, Uprated cams, C2 VTS alloy inlet and enlarged throttle body, Golf MK4 600cc injectors, Focus RS coil pack anh HT leads, Rotrex C30-94 supercharger, and a few othe rbits and pieces. This is the shell so far: The screens back in now. Its got a carbon roof, and every part will be refurbed before refitting. Steering racks already been done, along with rear axel (now with uprated arb and torsion bars), Gaz coilovers fitted up front. Still painting the inside, then theres a roll cage to fit, like so: It should look something like this when done, but painted lol: Theres loads of other bits and pieces sitting in boxes ready to fit, soon as I get chance. I'll start a proper thread for the saxo once I get back to working on it | |

| Cheers mate. Yeah the mondeo should make a tidy cruiser when done. And thanks for the comments re. The vts. It's usually a bit marmite whether people like it or not! Deffinately no halfords tat going on it though!
Time frame I'm not sure on. It's been in this state for at least 12 months already due to lack of time! I'm hoping to start on it over Christmas again then maybe it'll be on the road by summer

| Been collecting a few bits off eBay for the mondeo: Got some lowering springs to reduce the nasty looking arch gap. probably get them fitted after christmas now when I get the wheels refurbished. Also got a set of Morel speakers for the rear doors, and an Alpine I-Phone interface, to match an Alpine headunit thats also on its way. Already have a set of speakers for the front, and a JL Audio sub. The trims are spares so that I can fibreglass some tweeter pods into them. Just need some sound deadening to stop any rattles, and a hefty amp to run the system. Currently looking at a Vibe 5 channel job to save my boot space. The saxo may get some love over christmas as well. Now got a shed to shift some of the stuff out of my garage so Ive got some space to do a few bits and to strip a spare VTS I picked up a few months ago for parts. | |

| There's enough still on the road for me not to feel guilty about breaking this one lol. The black ones probably not the best example anyway so no great Loss in killing it off. Few nice parts on it though so all good
The front bumpers actually 95% standard, just with a few more hole opened up to let air through to the coolers. Only add on bit is the lip on the bottom which I've smoothed in

| The vents are pretty square so they should work on the Astra. Link to ventsMatt- I kind of hope people do try to mess with it lol. Hopefully they will see the body kit and assume its a 1.1 or something | |

| Little pre-christmas present to myself Managed to pick up an Airtec FMIC for the mondeo. Much bigger than the standard intercooler and its reported to give good gains. Looking into getting a set of Forge Motorsport silicone pipes as well before fitting it. After christmas I think I'll be looking into getting a decat pipe and full exhaust, then getting those, the FMIC springs and audio fitted and wheels refurbed. Then It will need a remap to make the most of the new parts> Probably be getting a Bluefin for it with custom map, so that the remap can be removed when it goes to Ford for servicing so it doesnt mess with the warranty. | |

| Few little updates to the mondeo. Bought myself a decat pipe and k&n panel filter although haven't got round to fitting them yet. Car needed new tyres so had wheels refurbed whilst tyres were off So I picked up my wheels from the powder coaters this week. CAS coatings have done a great job again and they are now a nice metallic grey. I then dropped them to my tyre place to have 4 new tyres fitted, new valves and all balanced. Refitted the 2 bits of the entre caps and new ford centre badges and back on the car. No decent pics yet cos its freezing, so these will have to do for now. Next jobs are to fit the decat filter and lowering springs. Then going to get going on the stereo. | |

Yeah it's coming on quite well. Needs some decent sounds in it though after the lowering. Then will be after stainless exhaust and remap.

| Least yours is in a state to run down pod.! I'd love a trip down. Last run mine at York many years ago but enjoyed it.
Time scale wise - not sure really. Don't get much time to play with at the minute. Might be better now it a bit lighter in the evenings. Need to sort out what's happening with it all. Thinking is having the shell resprayed again before building it up. Bumpers etc still need doing as well so it wouldn't take much doing whilst it all in the booth.
