Ideas??????

Hey, new to forum. I drive Pug 207 with a few mods, i'm unsure what direction to go in next. i would like to try and get abit more power but being 1.4 is their any point???? (without being drastic) Cheers

firstly welcome, i aint seen you knocking around i dont think anyway!
when it comes to modifying it a big matter of how much you want to spend, after all with enough money nearly anythings possible, but sensible places to start is, exhaust, air filters, cooler air, bigger brakes, better suspension, better plugs. not in that order though ive always done brakes 1st
then you start looking at remaps, turbos, nitrous. think of it as a project and concentrate on one bit at a time.

I was interested in going to some car shows but didnt know where to go, spoke to Jared and told me to Sign up to forum and gave me a heads up for USC.

On the modifing from i would know where to start it would really help meeting up with someone that can explain/help me. In past ive just gone on styling due to me thinking i can get much more performance out of it.

Come and say hello sometime when were on mossies, me and rob (loud civic) might be big but we dont bite, most of the time anyways, i should be down tonite if your around

By Mossies you mean Morrisons???. i work at the one at ecco and workin till 10.30 2nite so give me heads up for next time n ile try n make it.

Yes Morrisons at hillsborough, thers someone there most nights that should know me or rob or at least where we are, we mite be there till after 1030 if you fancy poppin on, just depends what we are all doin as to what time we are there till

It was a goid turn out, would have been seething comming along and itroducing your self, but no worries dude, welcome to the forum, there is loads that can be done to make your motor faster, if u ask jared about his old polo and the work we did to make that into a little monster it might give u so insparation

Ive seen a 'so called' peformance air filter made by SUMEX for £24.99 would that be worth buying.

Could u put a llink up? Not sure I've gues of them, any air filter is an improvment on standard power output, however more power can be gained from the correct aftermarket unit, think of k and n as the bar that all filters are measured by, there not bad but u can get better, think that there is a massive aftermarket demand for pug performance parts, there is a company in rotherham called pug performance, they might be werth calling in a speeking to,
Cold air has more oxygen in it and burns quiker in your engine making the car a faster, so if u have an air filter in your engine bay that's only getting warm air it will actually slow the car down, so a direct cold air feed is imperative, nip the morisons and slowly to tank, I've tought him a lot so he should be able to help out

Any chance of the location 4 pug performance, i will pop in and see them. next time they head to morrisons i will join them if im not working...

if im honest they just look the same as any cheepy air filter, youd be better of goin to jtf and buying one from there car section and doing a bit of diy to get it to fit, but you'll have to b carfull with your air flow meter and temp sensor, should be easy enough though, as for a location for pug performance, i don't know, they moved twice in the past 5 years and its been a while since i had any intrest in anything french (no harm intended lol) try looking them up on google etc

Welcome mate, have look around for kits on ebay and see if you can mock one up your self save some pennys if not make a coustom one from racespec he can sort you out
